A MESSAGE FROM ALLY

It was an exciting couple of weeks for our TSD & BJJ Teams. Both groups had gradings and a huge congratulations to those who were graded up to their next coloured belts.

Congratultions to all who received stripes on their belts.

An honourable mention to Michael Yunaev who was graded to a Blue Belt in BJJ as well as earning his Blue Belt in Koshinryu Jujutsu.

Well done to all!

BOXING WORKS GRADINGS

Gradings are not only an acknowledgment of skill but also the time and effort put in by individuals.

BJJ Grading, Friday 29th June 2018. Boxing Works Surry HIlls

Mike Dennis attained his Brown Belt in BJJ and Michael Yunaev attained his Blue Belt, both guys have trained for many years and it was no surprise to anyone on the night that they are very deserving of these new grades. Many of the guys and girls received additional stripesĀ on their belts and there are quite a few who are on the cusp of gaining their next colours. Rommel Asuit, Nicholas Cooper and Henry Reave all have 4 stripes on their Blue Belts looking at a Purple. Eddie Fernandes, Guy Hennequin and Janice Yee all have 4 stripes on their purple belts so Brown Belts are in the near future. Congratulations to our newbies who all received their first stripes on their white belts Ian Edgehill, Daniel Nicholson, Jason Tin and of course Chau Phan-Vu, welcome to your BJJ family and this amazing journey you are on.

Koshinryu JuJutsu Grading, Sunday 8th July 2018. Boxing Works Tramsheds

On Sunday Larry put Michael Yunaev and Eugene Stadnichenko through a gruelling 3 hour Koshinryu Jujutsu grading which saw Michael gain his Blue Belt and Eugene his Green Belt. Thank you to their team mates who came out on the day to help them with their gradings as training partners.
